Vibrant weeks in the Werksviertel at the Munich Biennale. With hearty Bavarian food and visits to beer gardens, it certainly is very refreshing!

At a panel discussion in New York, I was recently asked what success is. Well, everyone defines success differently, but for me, the perfect definition is this: Success means letting your true self shine–being who you want to be, doing what you want to do, going where you want to go. In short, success means becoming who you truly are.

Reading is so important! I especially love the classics: Thomas Mann, Jean Paul, and, time and again, Marcel Proust–how the latter creates an entire universe in the most intense circling around himself deeply impresses me.

Simply passing time among the finest perfumes and creams, enjoying the scents of delicacies, can be so beautiful. At least in the Parisian Galeries Lafayette.

With my career, daily cooking has become a thing of the past. That’s why I love Deliveroo! On days like today, it literally saves my life. Believe me, you don’t want to be near me when my blood sugar is low!

OMG, this morning I made a discovery! It’s crazy, sometimes we make a small mistake and our life is changed forever.
It happened like this: I began my morning routine and, as usual, energised my water when the sound of the stream outside my window–which I love–briefly caught my attention… And without thinking, I heated my water to 50°C instead of the usual 48. I tell you, the difference this small change made was truly astonishing. The whole day I could feel the unusual energy!

Relaxing to the sounds of Hildegard von Bingen–there’s nothing quite like it! Some days, it’s just all too much! But I can always rely on the power of music to help me feel the ground beneath my feet again and bring peace to my restless body.

Do singers need to be fat? That’s nonsense, but of course, we’re all, in a way, stuck in our oral phase. And not just when it comes to food; we need to treat our bodies well and pamper them, and we must never forget for a second that we are our own instrument.

528 Hertz. This tone never fails to fascinate me! It doesn’t matter that I’ve been enjoying this frequency for eight years now. It still teaches me new things about myself every day that would otherwise remain hidden. It’s unthinkable that I could have spent my entire life in some sort of darkness! They don’t say this tone is of central importance to the musical-mathematical matrix of creation for nothing.

Stuttgart is calling, and I am really looking forward to the time in the studio specially set up for me in the large rehearsal hall P1 at Musik der Jahrhunderte. That I get to do an Artist Talk at ECLAT this year, to experience such a sincere and immediate situation together with my audience, is of course a special honour.
