Annette Eckerle
Annette Eckerle, born in Karlsruhe, grew up in Gaggenau on the edge of the northern Black Forest, studied musicology, philosophy and literature in Karlsruhe, accompanied by private piano studies with Sontraud Speidel (Karlsruhe University of Music).
During and after her studies, she worked as a radio journalist (SWF Baden-Baden, SDR Karlsruhe), trained as a journalist in Stuttgart (1994/95), worked as a freelancer, trainee and editor for the Stuttgarter Nachrichten (1994 to 2002). Subsequently, freelance work as a music journalist for the Stuttgarter Zeitung (2003 to 2012), the F.A.Z. and the Süddeutsche Zeitung as well as the Neue Zeitschrift für Musik and the Neue Musikzeitung with a particularly open ear for 20th century and contemporary music. Also on the road in matters of press and public relations for renowned festivals in almost all musical genres, from the Belcanto Festival (Rossini in Wildbad) to the Church Music Festival (Festival Europäische Kirchenmusik Schwäbisch Gmünd) as well as in dramaturgy and editing for the SWR Vokalensemble (2007–2010).
Since the 2012/13 season, she has been responsible for press and public relations & dramaturgy at Musik der Jahrhunderte–in short, for everything that requires text and communication.
