»Luxa’s music moves in the midst of a fragmented sound environment, between pop music remnants, electronic sounds and opera. The sounding splinters are more than superficial quotations or historical remnants. Luxa sees the decision for a disparate sound language as an attempt at queer composing, against standardisation and homogenisation. Hanging beats, strange accompanying figures, synthetic voices, iconic pop sounds and lost studio effects characterise Luxa’s compositions and demand an ever-changing, idiosyncratic way of listening. Trails through a thicket of love, identity and sonic desire.«
