Lachenmann Perspektiven VOL. 4–Les Consolations
About the Les-Consolations films
The recordings of »Les Consolations« were made in November 2015 with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart and the SWR Vocal Ensemble Stuttgart, conducted by Peter Rundel, who was already familiar with Lachenmann’s playing techniques through previous collaborations. From around 10 hours of rehearsal footage, we have edited three (English subtitled) sectional rehearsal films (strings/winds/percussion, harp, piano), in which Helmut Lachenmann, together with the conductor, explains the playing techniques and specific features of the piece. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend the sectional rehearsals with the SWR Vocal Ensemble, so there is no film for this part.
